Abstract

This document outlines An Bord Pleanála’s policy and guidelines for the procurement of goods and services. Under the provisions of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies, it is the responsibility of the Board to satisfy itself that the requirements for public procurement are adhered to and to be fully conversant with the current value thresholds for the application of EU and national procurement rules. In accordance with the said Code, the Board will ensure that competitive tendering will be standard procedure in the procurement process of An Bord Pleanála. Management, and ultimately the Board, will ensure that there is an appropriate focus on good practice in purchasing and that procedures are in place to ensure compliance with procurement policy and guidelines.
