Abstract
Description
The aim of this study, undertaken by Forfás and the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs, is to assess the demand for big data and analytics roles and their related skills, competences and qualification requirements and map out relevant current and planned education and training output. It proposes actions to address gaps identified between supply and demand and assist in harnessing the considerable economic and social potential of this area into the medium-term. The study was included as an action within the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs 2013.
