Abstract
Description
The Open Beds Report provides an outline of the average numbers of open inpatient beds and day beds/places in the acute hospital system on a monthly basis.
As set out in the Sláintecare Action Plan 2019, the Department of Health is committed to fostering the support of citizens and stakeholders in the Sláintecare reform process, consulting them about its delivery, and informing them about progress through engagement and open reporting. In line with this commitment to open reporting, the purpose of the Open Beds Report is to make information on capacity in the health care system available in a transparent and accessible manner. This report is published on the Department’s website each month.
