The purpose of monitoring is to safeguard vulnerable children of any age who are receiving child protection and welfare services. Monitoring provides assurance to the public that children are receiving a service that meets the requirements of quality
standards. This process also seeks to ensure that the wellbeing, welfare and safety of children is promoted and protected. Monitoring also has an important role in driving continuous improvement so that children have better, safer lives.
